Marketing Manager – Corporate

CT Travel Group are looking for a Corporate Marketing Manager to join the Marketing team in the Tunbridge Wells office in Kent.

Main purpose of the role

To strategically plan a rolling 12-month marketing plan for the Corporate Travel Department to deliver the Department’s business goals and to be accountable for the delivery of all activity within the plan. The Corporate Travel department encompasses the following brands: Business Travel; Groups, Events & Incentives; and Trade Missions.

Key Accountabilities:

  • To work closely with our internal technical team, sales team, designers, web & digital team and the fellow Marketing Manager (Leisure brand) to develop and be accountable for a creative and innovative plan, aligned to our business objectives
  • Generate ideas and create unique copy for written press releases, news articles, newsletters and blogs / whitepapers for both offline and online channels to maximise the brands – staying abreast of current news and key trends to ensure we maximise relevance and engagement
  • Work with the web & digital team internally to co-manage digital marketing activities, including email marketing campaigns, pay per click and SEO
  • Work with the sales team and designers to create highly professional sales proposals and the supporting collateral – over time, producing a library of ‘go to’ resources and sales literature. The ensure that the content is appropriate to the brand and is also creative and tailored to the brief – ultimately ensuring we submit ‘stand out’ proposals for large pitches to ensuring good and clean brand representation and flare / creativity tailored to the brief
  • Identify opportunities for exposure of our brand within London and the South East
  • Work with the designers and relevant brands in a pro-active and timely manner to create marketing collateral for conferences and other events – ensuring that we take a creative approach to engage the audience
  • To interact with tools such as LinkedIN, Mailchimp, Trello, Asana, Microsoft Teams, Google Analytics, Lead Forensics
  • Negotiate and oversee commercial relationships with PR & Advertising agencies as well as other third-party suppliers/services – establishing scope of work for briefing, assessing and managing quality, measuring results, controlling budgets, etc.
  • Maintain information in any internal project management systems
  • Undertake market research, as well as adopting other approaches to stay informed of our target market and competitor activity in order to influence the rolling strategic marketing plan
  • To network and develop relationships with PR contacts and journalists in order to identify PR opportunities and to increase our exposure
  • Constantly act in a pro-active way by identifying new opportunities for exposure of our brands and bringing these into the business for review – assessing commercial viability and ensuring that they are aligned to our business objectives
  • Run product launches or brand events, being accountable for delivery of the events and managing any relevant third-party suppliers
  • To collaboratively work closely with our Digital Marketing Manager to generate ideas and content for the success of our online strategy
  • Measure marketing activity results & impact, analysing this data to establish and improve our return on investment
  • To manage the Corporate Marketing budget and to use data analysis and previous commercial experience to make strategic decisions regarding marketing spend
  • To proactively engage and communicate with all internal stakeholders, including the Directors and Senior Management Team
  • To constantly bring fresh ideas to evolve and move forward across all of the Corporate brands

Skills & Experience:


  • Proven experience of creating and delivering Marketing (both online and offline) & PR strategy within a commercial role
  • Experience of working across multiple brands and marketing plans simultaneously
  • A ‘can do’ approach where full accountability will be taken for delivering and measuring the success of marketing activity and for pro-actively communicating with key internal stakeholders
  • Excellent proof reading and creative writing skills
  • Proven experience of working with designers and for delivering strong briefs as well as sound judgement on the quality of appropriateness of designs for the brand
  • Demonstrable experience of undertaking all of the key marketing activities detailed
  • Excellent budget management and negotiation skills
  • Excellent MS Office skills
  • Ideally, the successful candidate will have experience of working in the travel industry
